The week dedicated to the presentation of the 49th Filo edition in the most important Italian districts has closed positively. The three meetings of the road-show – in Biella, Milan and Prato – has shown once again the growing interest of the professionals for the Salon which, starting from the excellence of the yarns on show, offers to the participating companies concrete opportunities to do business and to grow.
During the three meetings in Biella, Milan and Prato, Paolo Monfermoso, manager of Filo, started from figures: 90% of exhibitors has already confirmed its participation in February’s edition, as well as premises for the arrival to the fair of an increasingly high number of qualified buyers have been reasserted. Starting from these positive numbers, Filo continues to study more and more new initiatives in order to make the Exhibition even more interesting and productive.
The most important news is related to internationalization, by choosing to focus on a specific country in each edition: as far as 2018 is concerned, there will be Great Britain in February and France in September (for more info, see the following news). At the same time, the arrival to the fair of a delegation of foreign buyers organised by ITA – Agency has been confirmed: it will include professionals coming from the main European and Asian countries, first of all Japan. The buyers’ delegation from Russia is expected to come back, “a particularly interesting market for exhibiting companies” stated Monfermoso.
As far as communication is concerned, the main news is the stronger cooperation with Milano Unica in proposing textile trends: in this case, the objective is to highlight the unique added value of a whole supply chain such as the Italian one is. The 49th Filo edition will be held at Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan on the 21st and 22nd of February 2018. Entry-badges are already available on Filo’s website (www.filo.it).
